Vegan Baking Tip:
If you add soya milk to a recipe, use one that has been sweetened and add a pinch of salt. Cow's milk has a higher sugar and sodium content than dairy-free alternatives. The salt will give the flavour of your baking some depth.

Vegan Resource and Links Page

Here is a short list I have compiled of useful vegan links and resources available on the internet, many of which will offer more detailed information about vegan lifestyle and philosophy. So stay tuned in as I'll be regularly updating and adding to the list. Peace!

 

General:
American Vegan Society. The American Vegan Society is a nonprofit educational membership organization teaching a compassionate way of living that includes veganism.

Indian Vegan Society. The Indian Vegan Society is a non-profit, non-religious organization promoting a cruelty-free lifestyle. The Indian Vegan Society educates the broad public on the benefits of a vegan lifestyle for the environment, our health and the animals and aims at bringing awareness of a vegan diet in tackling global change.

Vegan Action. A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals, the environment, and human health by educating the public about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle and encouraging the spread of vegan food options through public outreach campaigns.

Vegan Outreach. A nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the suffering of farmed animals by promoting informed, ethical eating.

The Vegan Society. An educational charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of veganism, including to new and potential vegans, caterers, healthcare professionals, educators and the media.

Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation. Is a registered charity set up to monitor and to explain the increasing amount of scientific research linking diet to health as well as providing accurate information on which to make informed choices.

World Vegan Day. Is on the 1st November and celebrates ways of living free from animal products that benefits people, animals, and the environment.

Food:
Vegetarianlasagna.net. If you want to try some great vegetarian lasagna recipes, this is the place to go to. It also has delicious vegan lasagna recipes such as vegan roasted red pepper and basil lasagna, and my personal favourite vegan red wine and bean lasagna.
